FIGURATIVE COMPOSITION

Painted from a composition drawn from short poses in a life drawing session in October 2020.

I have drawn this figure in a life drawing session from a 2-minute pose, with one continuous line. Then I have enlarged it a bit and drawn the outline on a zinc etching plate covered with hardground. Then using a sharp 2H pencil, I draw the figure again using a continuous line.

The original drawing was done in a 20-minute life drawing session. It was then copied on a zinc plate. After the first five copies are printed, the aquatint technique was used to darken the background and girl’s hair. Various copies printed in different color combinations.
