I tried to imitate Rothko’s technique but on a much smaller scale. Each painting has around 50 layers of paint. In each layer, I used little paint and diluted it with acrylic glazing medium.
This was done on a night tour in the Cathedral of Mont St. Michel in Normandy. At some point in the tour, some paper and some stamp were provided, mainly for small children to enjoy.
