If you are reading this page, you probably bought one of my “NFT Starter Kits” and opened the envelope which contains the necessary information to restore your wallet.
Temple can be installed as a browser extension or a mobile app. I find it fairly easy to use. Its only drawback is that it is not available as an extension for Safari. If you are a Mac user, you should either use Chrome browser like I do or use another wallet software.
Kukai is much simpler. It runs on your browser and you do not need to install any mobile app or extension. You can use it in the same manner on mobile devices and computers. For this reason I will explain how to restore your wallet on Kukai.
Step 1: Go to https://wallet.kukai.app/
Step 2: Click on “Import Wallet” and select “Seed Words”. Enter your Seed Words (you will find them inside the envelope) and click “IMPORT”
Step 3: Kukai will ask you to set a password. Find a good password and click “NEXT”. This password will enable you to access your Kukai Wallet in the future. But remember, your password will be only valid on the device you installed the software. If you move to another device you will need to restore your wallet again.
Step 5: You will see the “Wallet Created” message. Click “DOWNLOAD”. This will download a file called “hd-wallet.tez”. If you save this file, it will be easier to restore your wallet in the future. You can use this file to restore your wallet on another device.
Once you download this file, the “OPEN WALLET” button will be visible. Click it to open the wallet. You will be able to see your Tezos Balance and NFTs.
Now your wallet is restored and ready to use. Click here to learn how to buy and sell an NFT.
